We have developed a successful engagement model for Enterprise Architecture, closely aligned to the TOGAF Methodology and drawing upon industry frameworks such as a DMBOK and Lean Six Sigma. Alto IT is unlike many of the larger IT consultancy practices - we pride ourselves on taking a more bespoke and pragmatic approach to EA. Information Architecture
Alto IT can help you truly understand the content and users of your information to drive more informed architectural designs and decision making for your business. This process will vary depending upon client maturity levels and aspirations so we will guide you through the journey to help inform each key decision point.
In the past we have worked with clients to design analytic solution to help inform corporate data strategy, extend traditional data warehouse reporting capabilities, reorganising digital content to support improved UX (User experience), AI (artificial intelligence) and simplified customers journeys, defined data structures and metadata model to aid the migration to a new content management system.
We are advocates of the 5 Star Data Standard, following much of the work done by The ODI and we are avid followers of developments related to open data, the semantic web and RDF. Recent Projects
Image Capture & Big Data Processing
Working with a leading client in the mapping sector, we were tasked with the next-gen data storage and processing platform for high altitude arial imagery. We were responsible for defining the high-level architecture utilising technology components from ESRI and MS Azure, streamlining data flows and orchestration, and building a scalable service for the client's anticipated explosion in data storage and processing requirements.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Working with multiple clients in the Utility & Public Sector, we have supported the selection, procurement and implementation of RPA platforms from Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere. Our engagement in RPA projects has previously included defining enterprise-wide Robotic Process Automation strategy; defining approach, identifying opportunities for automation, and standing up infrastructure to create Robotics Centre of Excellence.
Data Strategy, Analytics & BI
Working with clients to provide Data Architecture expertise, with responsibilities commonly including ownership for defining the vision, strategy, roadmaps, reference architectures, design patterns & governance frameworks to enable clients to exploit their data and become data drive in future decision making. We often work with client to implement modern data stacks built around Microsoft Azure technologies including Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Power BI etc.
Digital Transformation
Working with clients to identify and explore areas for digital innovation, providing architectural guidance and hosting ‘art of the possible’ workshops to drive enterprise-wide improvements covering business process redesign, data exploitation, cloud adoption, cost rationalisation, Robotics and AI/ML, Office365 utilisation, SharePoint, Power BI & Azure Analytics.
